list of 22 reasons why you should never give up and I hope that you will find it before you give up, so that I can inspire you to keep going!

1- As Long As You Are Alive Anything Is Possible

The only valid excuse you have to give up is if you are dead. As long as you are alive (and healthy and free) you have the choice to keep trying until you finally succeed.

2- Be Realistic

The chance of mastering something the first time you do it is almost non-existent. Everything takes time to learn and you will make mistakes. Learn from them.

3- Michael Jordan

Arguably the best basketball player of all time. He attributes his success to all his failures. He just never gave up even when he knew he had missed over 300 shots and had missed the winning shot of the game many times. Every time he got knocked down he got back up again.

4- Lance Armstrong

Lance was diagnosed with serious cancer that had spread throughout his entire body. He had cancer cells the size of golf balls in his lungs. Despite all odds he overcame the cancer and set out to win the Tour de France 6 Consecutive years in a row.

5- Muhammad Ali

“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”. Muhammad Ali is one of the best boxers the world has ever known. This is a guy who literally knows how to get knocked down and get back up.

Very long ago an Athenian herald was sent to Sparta to get help when the Persians landed in Greece. It was said that he ran 240km in 2 days and after that he ran 40km to announce the victory of the Greeks only to collapse and die on the spot from exhaustion. If you ever feel like things are difficult, imagine what it would be like to run 240km in 2 days. (Don’t try that because you might die from it, but use it as an inspiration).

7- Chris Gardner – The Pursuit of Happiness

Have you seen the movie “The Pursuit of Happiness”? It is based on the life story of Chris Gardener, a man who went for the lowest of the lows in an environment where most people would give up (no money, no job) to the highest of the highs (A millionaire with his own investment firm). If you ever think about giving up, watch this movie!

I’m pretty sure you have heard of the rapper Kanye West. Read his story. He is a big inspiration for me and proves that you can go from having very little to being among the most famous and respected people in the world.

9- Nelson Mandela

Campaigned for justice and freedom in his South Africa. Spent 20 years in jail for his opposition to apartheid. On release he healed the wounds of apartheid by his magnanimous attitude toward his former political enemies.

10- You Are Strong

You are stronger than you think. One little setback is not enough to stop you from achieving your goals. Neither are 10 or 100 or 1000 setbacks.

11- Prove Yourself

You don’t want to be known as someone that is weak and gives up. Go out there and prove yourself to the world and to yourself. You CAN and WILL achieve what you set out to do. The only time you fail is when you give up.

Like Fiddy (50 cent) says, “Get rich or die trying”. 50 Cent is rich, he made it (although he did get shot 9 times). Face your fears and don’t take the easy way out by giving up.

19- Let The Haters Hate

There will always be haters. There will always be plenty of naysayers and people who try to tear you down. Don’t pay attention to them and don’t take what they say to heart. Let the haters hate and you keep believing in yourself.

20- You Deserve To Be Happy

Don’t ever let anybody tell you otherwise. You deserve to be happy and you deserve to have success. Keep that mindset and never give up until you reach your destination!

21- Inspire Others

Be an inspiration to others by refusing to give up. Who knows what someone else can achieve because you never gave up and in turn inspired them not to give up.

22- You Are So Close

Often when you feel like you want to give up and you are about to give up you are so close to making a huge break-thru. Seth Godin has written an awesome book about this called “The Dip” – a riveting read that teaches that at any given time you are always just a heartbeat away from success.

Bilangan kes adalah seperti yang dikeluarkan oleh PDRM dan data yang dikumpulkan oleh Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat. Statistik ini cuba diperkuatkan dengan melihat perangkaan daripada Jabatan Pendaftaran Negara.

2004 hingga 2010
Statistik kes pembuangan bayi dikeluarkan Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) pula menunjukkan 396 kes dicatatkan dari 2005 hingga tahun lalu. Ia menunjukkan trend peningkatan walaupun ada penurunan pada 2007. Sebanyak 67 kes dilaporkan pada 2005, 83 kes (2006) yang menurun kepada 65 kes pada 2007, 102 kes (2008), 79 kes (2009) dan 91 kes (2010). Bagi tahun 2011, kepada semakin parah apabila dalam bulan Januari sahaja sebanyak 34 kes buang bayi dilaporkan di akhbar-akhbar utama Malaysia.

Sebilangan besar individu yang terbabit dalam kes pembuangan bayi berusia antara 18 hingga 25 tahun, 20 kes membabitkan individu berusia bawah 18 tahun, 33 dilakukan individu 25 tahun ke atas, manakala 403 individu lagi gagal dikesan peringkat umur mereka. Daripada jumlah 396 kes itu, 137 kes membabitkan pembuangan bayi lelaki, 102 bayi perempuan dan selebihnya tidak diketahui jantina.

Setiap 17 minit seorang anak luar nikah dilahirkan di Malaysia. Dan perkara ini berlaku setiap jam, setiap hari dengan kadar yang semakin meningkat. uhhhh... ya ALLAH :(

135 Orang Memohon Untuk Murtad Diluluskan Mahkamah

Jamil Khir: Permohonan murtad 135 orang diluluskan

Mahkamah Syariah menerima 863 kes permohonan untuk menukar status agama Islam dari tahun 2000 hingga 2010, kata Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom (bawah, kiri).

Beliau menjawap soalan lisan daripada Er Teck Hwa (DAP-Bakri) yang meminta perdana menteri menyatakan jumlah permohonan murtad bagi penganut Islam dan berapakah jumlah yang diluluskan mengikut negeri sepanjang sedekad yang lalu.

Er juga memohon penjelasan kerajaan mengenai cara-cara yang diambil bagi menangani kes-kes gejala murtad itu. Jamil dalam jawapannya berkata mengikut perangkaan yang dibekalkan kepada kementeriannya menunjukkan sejumlah 168 orang yang memohon untuk meninggalkan agama Islam diluluskan.

Bagaimanapun perangkaan yang dibekalkan kepada Dewan Rakyat itu tidak selaras dengan jumlah yang dikira.

Mengikut kiraan Malaysiakini, jumlah permohonan untuk murtad adalah 686 manakala permohonan yang diluluskan pula adalah 135 orang.

Mengikut data yang dibekalkan, jumlah tertinggi yang diluluskan adalah dari Sabah iaitu seramai 67 orang dan diikuti dari Negeri Sembilan dengan 33 orang.

Jumlah permohonan untuk meninggalkan Islam yang terbesar adalah di Sabah - 238, Negeri Sembilan - 172, Selangor - 99 dan Perak - 47.

Tiada permohonan murtad dicatatkan di Kelantan.

"Dalam menangani gejala murtad, Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri (JAIN) sentiasa melasanakan program dan aktiviti bagi mengelakkan berlakunya gejala ini terutamnya di kalangan saudara-saudara baru.

"Antara program dan aktiviti yang dilaksanakan adalah seperti khidmat nasihat; ziarah dan lawatan ke rumah; aktivitiaktiviti pengukuhan agama; kelas pengajian agam; dan sokongan Baitulmal," kata Jamil.

During the recent economic recession, it might have felt like no countries have been 'rich' as such, or at least not when compared to their previous finances. Recently the world's richest countries have been thrown into flux and are not necessarily the same select few that they once were. Here we will look at what are now the world's richest countries and what's helped them to keep on top in a countdown of the world's richest countries today (of course these are likely to change regularly, and will vary depending on your exact definition of the World's richest countries).

10. United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates is a country rich in oil and gas and is highly developed making it number ten among the world's richest countries. This money has only lead to further development as the cash is invested in architecture and projects such as the Burj Khalifa (a tower nearly twice as tall as the Empire State Building) and many artificial islands. It also has a thriving tourist industry – particularly in Dubai which is a city that looks like it's situated in one of the world's richest countries.

6. United States
The United States is not only one of the world's richest countries in the world but perhaps the most powerful. China by many definitions is one of the world's richest countries and is only increasing. THE SIGNIFICANCE OF LAYLATUL QADR

Laylat Al Qadr or the Night of Power — when the first verses of the Holy Quran were revealed to Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) — holds a very special significance for Muslims around the world.

Laylat Al Qadr falls on odd days in the last 10 days of the holy month of Ramadan, for example, on the 21^st, 23^rd, 25^th, 27^th, or the 29^th day of this month. This holiest night, when the faithful are advised to pray throughout, is revered by Muslims around the world as the reward for worship in this night is better than the worship of a thousand months.

This was the night when Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammad while he was praying to God in Cave Hira, and hence the significance of this night.

According to Hadith, these odd nights must be searched in the last 10 days of Ramadan, albeit no particular night has been fixed so that the yearning for it sees people spending more nights in worshipping Allah. From this aspect, the importance of ‘Itikaaf’ (seclusion) during the last 10 days of Ramadan is clear and highly rewarding.

The Prophet said: “The person who offered prayers to Allah in the Night of Power with faith and with hope of reward from Allah, all his past sins have been forgiven.” (Hadith: Bukhari)

The importance of Laylat Al Qadr can be realised from the fact that the Holy Quran contains a whole chapter on this night. The blessing of this night is equal to the blessing of thousand nights as angels descend on the earth to shower Allah’s blessings on the faithful.

According to the verses of the Holy Quran, “Verily! We have sent it (this Quran) down in the Night of Decree (Laylat Al Qadr). And what will make you know what the Night of Decree is? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. Therein descend the angels and the Rooh (i.e. Gabriel) by Allah’s permission with all Decrees, Peace! until the appearance of dawn.” (Surat Al Qadr: Quran)

What are You Thinking?

I can honestly say that back in the day I was only vaguely aware of all the jumble of thoughts that passed through my head. I wasn’t even remotely aware of how those thoughts could be affecting my reality and my feelings. To actually focus and be aware of each and every thought form that you think can be exhausting and not to mention a little scary as well.

Thoughts can become habitual and many people have been conditioned from a very early age to have negative thought patterns. Those negative thought patterns get stuck within the subconscious mind and can literally shape who you are and how you react to your environment. The good news is that habits are meant to be broken and it is very possible to take control of your thoughts and make them work for you as opposed to working against you.

I can remember the day several years ago when I decided that I would take note of my thoughts and feel how they were affecting me. At the end of the day I clearly remember thinking “Oh boy, I have some major work to do here!”

With that realization my journey began in taking the proper steps to create a healthy mind with the hopes of creating a far healthier and happier life.

Below are five key steps that have shown to help change your thoughts patterns, increase the health of your mind as well as create a more balanced and positive outlook on life.

1. Create the Intention

Changing negative habits and creating new positive habits is a fairly simple process but not an easy process and takes a commitment. It is important that you make the decision and be clear about your intention in order to create change.

Think it and write it down as well as say it out loud. In this way you are making a commitment to yourself to do what it takes to accomplish your goal and create a healthier mind state.

2. Be Conscious of Your Thoughts

As mentioned before thoughts are habitual and it can be quite difficult at first to consciously be aware of every thought that passes through your head. Before you change them for the better you must be aware of exactly what you are thinking.

Make it a priority to take notice of what thoughts pass through your head as you go about your day. Take note of what thoughts come up as you are dealing with different people and situations. Be careful not to judge your thoughts, for now simply be aware of them.

3. Make the Switch

Now that you are aware of your thinking patterns you can then begin to change them. We all have the capability to choose what we think and you have the power to change a negative thought into a positive.

When you notice a negative or non-affirming thought in your head consciously decide to change it. Do not worry if at first you do not believe your new positive thought as overtime that will change. By switching your negative thought to a positive each and every time you will eventually create new thought patterns and habits. You will also be creating a positive energy within yourself as opposed to a negative.

This method is simple yet not easy, but it works very well. It is a matter of sticking with it one hundred percent of the time. After a period of time your negative thought patterns will no longer have the power to affect or limit any aspect of your life including your emotions. Your new positive thought patterns will send out a different energy and create a more positive way of being which will in turn attract new positive energy within your life.

Over time with practice you will notice that when a negative thought pops up you will habitually switch it immediately to a positive. Then before you know it the negativity will be gone and it will be replaced with a positive and self-affirming way of being.

4. Positive Brain Frequencies

Once you have begun to practice the first three steps you can also begin to work directly with your brain frequencies. The brain is constantly emitting very specific frequency waves that influence how you feel and act. You can work with your brainwaves through meditation or by using an external stimulus such as brainwave audios.

By meditating or using brainwave audios such as binaural beats you are able to bypass the conscious mind and work directly with the subconscious mind. In this way you can make huge progress by tuning the brain to a specific frequency that helps with stress, anxiety and overall well being. If you combine these methods with affirmations you may notice your thought patterns and energy changing for the positive at a far quicker rate.

5. Take Time to Enjoy

Practicing positive thinking does not mean that you will never again have a negative thought. However it does mean that you will have the conscious awareness to change the negative to a positive and allow that positive energy to shape your life as opposed to being influenced by the negative.

Once you have made these changes and adopted this new healthier mind state it is up to you to get out there and enjoy life. Take little steps to do more of what you enjoy and be proud of the fact that you have given your mind the attention it needs in order to create the healthy life you deserve to enjoy.

Having a brain that is well nourished with oxygen can help you think with clarity. Yoga and Pilates are good exercise methods because they incorporate a mind and body balance along with proper breathing techniques.

Take a moment to do a little reality orientation every morning. When you wake up, recall the day, the date and any important information (appointments, birthdays, anniversaries and so on).

7 Wonderful Qualities of a Leader

Oxford Advanced Learner's Dictionary, New 8th edition (2010), defines leader as a person who leads a group of people, especially the head of a country, an organization, etc.

To be a wonderful leader, one should possess combinations of some of the following qualities:
1) Leaders Have Good Communication Skills
Leaders are good communicators. They leave no doubt about the meaning of their message. That's what Stan Toler (2002) wrote in his book "Minute Motivators for Leaders". He added that communication process is not complete until the audience has both listened and understood the delivered message.
Bob Adams (2001) in his book "The Everything Leadership Book" said that effective communication skills are integral to any working partnership / team or personal relationship. Therefore, according to him, it is safe to say that good communication skills are one of the building blocks of being an effective leader.

2) Leaders Are People with Courage
Courage is largely habit and self-confidence. It is a valuable commodity on the battlefield or in the board room. Alan Axelrod (1999) mentioned this in his book "Patton on Leadership". According to him, General George S. Patton, Jr., one of the most decorated American heroes during World War II, believed that courage could be learned – acquired through practice.
According to Marshall Loeb and Stephen Kindel (1999) in their book "Leadership for Dummies", leaders learn how to suck up their courage, trust their instincts, and move ahead into the unknown, even when they're just as scared as their followers.

3) Leaders Pay Attention to Details
During World War II, in commanding the U.S. Third Army, General Patton understood that wet socks lead to trenchfoot and other conditions that keep a man from marching, wrote Axelrod (1999). Socks are a small and lowly item, but Patton realized that on dry socks (and healthy feet), the efficiency of his army depended.
On the other hand, lack of attention to details can result in tragedy. According to Seth Godin (1995) in his book "Wisdom, Inc.", the space shuttle Challenger exploded because a fifteen-cent rubber part did not function in unusually cold weather. Several brilliant scientists (and astronauts) were killed because this one tiny detail was overlooked.
Napoleon Hill (1937) in his book "Think and Grow Rich" mentioned about the mastery of detail, which was one of the 11 important factors of leadership. According to him, successful leadership calls for mastery of the details of the leader's position.

4) Leaders are Problem Solvers
"You can measure a leader by the problems he tackles. He always looks for ones his own size", wrote by John C. Maxwell (1999) in his book "The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader".
Every workplace will have some conflict, no matter how great the leadership team may be. Leaders need to identify conflict as early as possible and determine what kind of conflict is involved and its underlying causes. These remarks were written by Bob Adams (2001) in his book "The Everything Leadership Book".

5) Leaders Build Relationships
Building relationships based on trust was one of the topics covered by Ian Lawson (2001) in his book "Leadership". According to him, there are seven key behaviours / attributes in this area:

Not putting self-interest before the interests of your staff,
Keeping promises and doing what you say you will do,
Being in touch with and sensitive to other people's feelings,
Being calm in a crisis and when under pressure,
Being honest and truthful,
Not taking personal credit for other people's work, and
Always being fair.

6) The Leader as Team-Builder
Ismail Noor (2002) wrote his book "Prophet Muhammad's Leadership" that the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. is acknowledged as an exemplary team leader who knew how to get the best out of his principal lieutenants by understanding the true value of the human resource factor.
According to him, effective team-working stems from people complementing, rather than, rivalling, each other or merely co-existing alongside one another.
The leading members of the Majlis Syura or the Consultative Council during the time of the Prophet's governance were Abu Bakar As-Siddiq, Umar Al-Khattab, Uthman Al-Affan, Ali bin Abi Talib, Zaid bin Thabit Al-Ansari, Abd. Rahman bin 'Auf, Salmaan Al-Farsi, and 'Ubayy bin Ka'b.

7) The Leader as Visionary
In her book "Leadership Skills for Managers", Marlene Caroselli (2001) stated that for leaders to effect positive change, they must have a picture of what the improvement will look like. That improvement, on a small or grand scale, is called a vision.
According to Ros Jay (2004), vision is the ability to develop the future strategy of the business. In her book "The Successful Candidate", she wrote: "vision implies that not only can you see ahead and respond well in advance, but that you can also be pro-active, setting the trend yourself and setting how the business will look in several years' time.
"Wonderful leaders are comparable to eagles. They fly higher but not in flocks, like most birds".
